The National Archaeological Museum houses a rich selection of items and archaeological artefacts, among which there are many of a very high quality. Through the artefacts discovered you can recognise the different ancient cultures of Sardinia which are exhibited in sequence from ceramics, small pre-nuragic statues, copper ingots and small bronzes. There is an important collection of ceramics, pottery, glass, Roman statues and sarcophagi and gold jewellery from the High Middle Ages. The museum holds some of the most important collections in the world.
