The National Institute of Apiculture was founded in the 1920s. Since 1931, the aim has been to create initiatives for increasing, and publicising beekeeping practices and beehive products. The institute holds many hundreds of books in the specialised library here as well as the most important Italian and international journals pertaining to apiculture and apidology. These works are available to the public for consultation but they ask that you make an appointment before you visit.
