A trip to the Museo di Antropologia is like taking a step back in time, discovering some of the important points of our evolutionary process. Anthropologist F. Frassetto opened the museum in 1908; the exhibits portray various phases of evolution of primates and man from the prehistoric time up to the Neolithic period. The displays include fossils and a large osteological collection made up of hundreds of skeletons. The Masks in the Cipriani collection are definitely worth seeing.
