The Museo dell’Assistenza Infermieristica was created in 1999 by the Committee that promoted the cultural initiatives for the Capital of the Culture in 2000. Inside this museum is a collection of different typologies including photographic, illustrative, documental and other material that describes how the nursing profession progressed in the historical-cultural context of Bologna. Here you can see things like uniforms, thermometers, needles, crockery and glassware that document nursing activity since the 18th Century. It is hoped that the museum will not be merely a repository but also a centre for cultural and professional promotion in the area of nursing.
