The Museo della Beata Vergine di San Luca in Bologna is located in part of the 13th Century town walls. The tower and drawbridge were rebuilt in 1858 in Neo-medieval style. There is a canvas of Luigi Bertelli dated 1895 depicting a view of the sanctuary. In another room are 20 niches containing 18th Century papier-mâché statues, holy pictures and souvenirs, the clothes of the ‘Raccoglitori Gratuiti’ and the ’Domenichini’, and various ex voto - paintings donated between 17th and 19th Century. The museum has a large amount of literature on the Blessed Virgin of St. Luke and the sanctuary.
