The Municipal Art Gallery in Assisi is located in the 17th Century Palazzo Vallemani. The Pinacoteca is made up of a rich core of frescoes and a great many paintings covering the period of the 14th to the 17th Century. The paintings have a worldly and metropolitan feel about them which contrasts greatly with Assisi’s general air of Franciscanism. Some of the artists displayed in the gallery include Giotto, Puccio Capanna and Andrea d’Assisi.
