The Mercantile Museum deals with the economic history of the town of Bolzano. Set out in chronological order, the programme moves through meeting rooms, the chancellor’s room, and the Hall of Honour, displaying original furnishings, documents, paintings and art objects. The furnishings which decorate the Hall of Honour are especially noteworthy as is the internal staircase which leads up to the first floor. The museum also has an impressive collection of Baroque paintings and furnishings.
