Arco’s most ancient area is surrounded by medieval walls with many narrow alleys, small piazzas and fountains to explore. The town’s historic buildings include the lovely Collegiate Church and the Baroque Town Hall which is joined by an arcade to Palazzo Marchetti - a Renaissance structure built in 1550 by Felice d’Arco. The Giuliani Palace with its 18th Century porticoes is also known as Palazzo della Loggia. The Altamar Palace was built in 1566, Calzà House, 17th Century Cloth Palace and the 18th Century Panni Palace. Marcabruni Palace was formerly the residence of the great Humanist Nicolò d’Arco.
