The German Evangelical Church on the island of Capri was commissioned by a number of German industrialists who had chosen to make the island their home. This church, which was built during the early part of the 1900s, can be found in the Via Tragara. The style in which the German Evangelical Church was built is typically transalpine, not usual for Capri, and has sloping roofs and brick roofing tiles. Note the large majolica plaque which has the wording ‘Deutsche Evangelische Kirsche’.
