Fénis Castle comes complete with round towers, crenellated walls, trapdoors, and embrasures. It has undergone many modifications since the 14th Century including an interior which is more akin to a 15th Century stately home. There are some excellent frescoes in the courtyard and the private chapel; Saints and St. George freeing the Princess by the Giacomo Jaquerio studio and the 24 Church Doctors painted along the courtyard gallery by Giacomo D’Ivrea in the 15th Century. Visitors can see the kitchens, the weaponry hall, the Baronial hall, and the chapel.
