The village of Corigliano d’Otranto in the Lecce province is where you will find one of the most important castles in the Salento area. This huge 16th Century, square building has a mid 17th Century Baroque façade by Francesco Manuli. The other main place of interest here is the Palazzo Comi, which was built between the 17th and the 18th Century and which still has traces of previous buildings and a Greek inscription, indicating its Byzantine past.
