The picturesque little village of Colonno lies at the foot of Monte Costone. Behind this ancient village are the slopes of the mountain with their terracing and walls built in the past to cultivate fragrant herbs, which were sold by local people. A bridge house, just outside the village on a stream, records the flood of 1905 and the arresting waterfall of the Camogge is situated near Colonno along the Via Regina. The Church of San Michele has a ruined Romanesque bell tower and inside there are some 14th Century frescoes.
