The Church of SS. Quirico e Giulitta in Carate Urio on Lake Como was originally a Romanesque building. In 1865 the present parish church dedicated to St. Quirico and St. Giulitta was erected. The bell tower, which was part of the older structure, dates back to the 12th Century. It consists of two levels of mullioned windows with two lights and arches over them. The Church of S. Marta, which contains several ancient frescoes, has a Romanesque style and dates back to the 11th or 12th Century.
