Brienno on Lake Como has two churches of note; SS. Nazario e Celso and S. Vittore. The Church of SS. Nazario e Celso has Romanesque origins, but was rebuilt during the 16th Century giving it a Baroque look. Original traces can still be seen in the bell tower. The interior has early 14th Century painted glass, a polyptych by A. Passeri dated 1508, and 16th Century frescoes by G.P. Recchi. The Church of S. Vittore has a Romanesque bell tower with mullioned windows and was built around the 11th Century. The present-day nave dates back to the 15th Century.
