The Church of Santissimo Salvatore is located close to the Piazzetta of Capri. It was built between 1661 and 1685 by Dionisio Lazzari of the Fanzago School at the same time as the near-by Convent delle Teresiane. The church was at the will of Mother Serafina, who ran the convent. A flight of steps lead up to the entrance and the façade has a central arch and two side niches. Inside is a barrel vaulted ceiling, with side chapels and a women’s gallery. Here the nuns who attended the services would have been protected by a screen.
