Paruzzaro is just a short drive from the town of Arona and is worth the trip to see the church of San Marcello. San Marcello, a Romanesque 11th Century church, is exquisite from the outside and shows its great age. The interior has a magnificent campanile and a fabulous series of 15th and 16th Century frescoes which are as fresh to look at today as the day they were painted. The town is also interesting, with its winding streets and friendly locals.
