The original design for the Chiesa della Madonna del Soccorso was provided by the designer and architect Domenico Tibaldi. It is said the church was dedicated to the Madonna, because according to tradition she was always ready to help the faithful. Inside there are many works of art by the painters Lianori and Passerotti, which are well worth visiting. It was partially destroyed during World War II in 1944 and had to be practically completely rebuilt.
