The cathedral in Conversano has a Romanesque façade with a fine rose window. There are three portals which lead into the nave and aisles. Chapels have now replaced the original side facades. Inside is also build in a Romanesque style and laid out in basilica fashion with a cross plan and semi-circular apses. The columns of the triple lancet windows have capitals which have a look reminiscent of many Byzantine designs and which are sculpted with plant, animal and human motifs.
