The Cathedral of San Cassiano is a magnificent building with its 18th Century bell tower rising up in the huge square. Dedicated to Saint Cassiano, the city’s patron saint, a wooden statue to him dominates above the deep apse. All that remains of the primitive temple is a small white marble statue of Saint Lucy from the early 5th Century, along with other relics kept together in the nave. The bell tower stands to the side of the Cathedral and is decorated by a rounded base of marble.
