The Cathedral church of Castiglione di Sicilia is dedicated to San Pietro. It was built during the 18th Century and contains furniture of the same period. The interior has a Latin cross plan containing an apse of the 12th Century with small hanging arches. The church has three important paintings (the Adulteress, San Biagio and Immacolata) which are attributed to Antonio Bonaccorsi (1826-1897). There is also a fine wood Crucifix believed to date back to the 16th Century and on the floor is a sundial, the work of Temistocle Zona (1882).
