Map

The Norman Cathedral in Caltagirone is dedicated to San Giuliano. The main façade is 20th Century having been demolished in 1838 because of damage. The Latin cross plan has three naves divided by columns and altars are adorned with pictures by Francesco (1802-1882) and Giuseppe (1793-1866). In the left transept is a statue of the Madonna and Child attributed to the Gagini School (1478-1536) and the altar has a wooden sculpture of Christ by Giuseppe Vaccaro. The wood choir is in Baroque style and was brought in the Cathedral from the church of San Bonaventura.
