The town of Castiglione di Sicilia is made up of narrow streets around the main Piazza Lauria. The remains of a Byzantine church known as Cuba can be located near the town and dates back to the 7th-9th Century. One of the most interesting monuments is the Chiesa di Santa Domenica which was built in a typical Byzantine style. Also with Byzantine elements is the Chiesa di S. Antonio Abate with its beautiful dome and polychrome marble altar. Other churches include the Church of the Benedictine Sisters and the 18th Century Church of the Madonna della Catena.
