The town of Castelnuovo del Garda is situated on the south-eastern side of Lake Garda. There are numerous places of historical interest including the crenellated tower which was once part of the ancient castle and the Villa Sella which dates back to the 15th Century. The parish church was built between 1793 and 1830 and boasts a lovely altar piece by F. Brusasorci. Of the surrounding hamlets Cavalcaselle has the Villa Arvedi DEmilei (17th and 18th Century) and a parish church with 18th Century frescoes.
