The Cassarini Park in Bologna is a lovely area with many mature Himalayan cedars, pomegranate trees and Judas trees. It can be located in the grounds of the villa which was once the home of the Cassarini family. There is a significant monument in the grounds dedicated to the victims of Nazi homosexuals. This is a triangle reversed pink marble – which has become the symbol of the international movement of gay and lesbian liberation – and was put here by the municipality at the Cassarini Park. There are entrances from both Viale Aldini and Viale Risorgimento.
