The Bastione San Remy was built on the oldest bulwarks of Zecca and Sperone and is adorned with palms, Holm oak, Aleppo pine and two different kinds of Washingtonians. Created by the architect Giuseppe Costa the terrace Umberto 1 and the covered Walk were erected in the early 1900s. The mirror like surface of the Molentenargius and the mountains of Serpeddì and Sette Fratelli are only a sample of the views to be had from the vantage point of the Bastion.
