The Alto Adige Natural Science Museum in Bolzano shows the development of the geological history of the area. It explains though its exhibits and documentary evidence how the post-glacial formation and shift of the landscape shaped the human settlements here. There are displays which record the development of the Adige setting from the ice-age to the present day and they illustrate the history of the Dolomites and their evolution, through detailed reconstruction and descriptions.
