There are displays here from the Palaeolithic period (15000 BC) to the Carolingian period. The exhibits are laid over 4 floors with finds from the area, and the museum uses models, holograms, video and acoustic guides to good affect. But most definitely, the biggest draw for visitors is the area devoted to the Bronze Age mummified and frozen body of a peasant dating back 5300 years and discovered on the glaciers of Val Senales in 1991. It was found complete with clothing and equipment and therefore provides a real picture of the life of the era.
