The Aldini Valeriani Museum in Bologna was set up in 1982 and covers all periods of industrial development. It was created in order to understand the local industrial patrimony, for both educational and research purposes. In the museum workshop visitors can see craft and industrial machinery from various periods, dating from the 16th to the 18th Century silk industry. Also here are exhibits of new forms of energy and more advanced technology. The Aldini Valeriani Museum is planning a library and archive as well as a space to hold temporary exhibitions.
