All of the air balloon flights depart from Aosta airport. The Mont Blanc Aerostatic Club has many air balloons of various sizes and a hot-air airship, and flying is possible throughout the year as long as weather conditions are favourable. Flights over the Aosta Valley last one an hour but you need to add on a couple of hours for the preparation time and time to return to base. In winter, they offer flights over the Alps in an average flight time of five hours. There is no age limit but children have to be at least 1.20 metres tall.
